CHEAP BEER & DRINKS
There’s always a party in the crew area – and with up to 700 volunteers, you’ll never drink alone.
Enjoy cheap beers, good vibes and the kind of backstage energy you don’t want to miss.

WORK WITH FRIENDS
Pick the same shift package and you’ll work side by side – easy.
And honestly? You’ll make new festival friends anyway. It happens every. single. year.

REAL FOOD ON EVERY SHIFT
Heroes need fuel. We make sure you never start a shift hungry.
Good food, full plates – because the people who create the party deserve the best.

No experience needed
We train you in everything you need to know – fast, simple and friendly.
Show up confident, learn the flow, and enjoy the festival you help bring to life.

ACCEsS & SHIFtS
Get full access to Roskilde Festival by completing 32 hours of work, divided into 4 shifts across both the warm-up days and the music days.
Work together with your friends – and meet new ones along the way. Choose the shift package that fits your rhythm.
A small bonus:
If your favourite artist happens to play during your shift, it’s often possible to arrange a short break with your bar manager and return a bit later by extending your shift.
(Not guaranteed, but it works out more often than you’d think.)

THE ATMOSPHERE
Gringobar is known for strong vibes, big crews and thousands of happy guests.
You’ll feel the energy the moment your bar starts serving.

WHICH TEAM?
We run specialised bars that focus on a tight, high-quality drink selection — from handcrafted mojitos and fresh frozen daiquiris to carefully picked champagnes and our signature biting chili tequila.
There’s a bar style for every volunteer.

What does the work look like?
Most Roskilde volunteers at Gringobar work in the bars, where you’ll take part in four main tasks:
-
serving guests and keeping the bar atmosphere lively,
-
prepping fresh fruit and spirits,
-
preparing drinks in the backbar to keep the service flowing, and
-
a short environmental shift of about 4 hours, helping keep the area around the bar clean and inviting. It may not sound glamorous, but it’s quick, essential, and part of being a strong team.
Even though most of our volunteers are bartenders, we also have other roles that keep the entire Gringobar operation running. You might join our check-in team, helping volunteers with registration and practical questions.
We also have an internal crew bar that keeps energy high in the backstage area, and a crew kitchen where volunteers help with simple meal prep. The kitchen is essential to the wellbeing and flow of the whole team — and these roles are just as important as bartending.

Size matters
With up to 700 volunteers, we have the strength to create a truly special experience.
Our Gringo Check-in/InfoCenter is staffed 24/7 throughout the festival, ready to help whenever needed.
Our crew kitchen keeps the whole team fuelled, and in our exclusive backstage area, Gringo Island, you’ll find our super cozy crew bar with cheap beer and drinks — available only to real gringos.
When we’re many, we can do more — and the community is one of the things that makes Gringobar truly unique.
Talk of the Town
(Festival Town, that is)
If you’ve heard about the legendary chili tequila served in a red pepper — the one that ends with a cowboy hat and a loud “Mucho Macho!” — yep, that’s us.
It’s one of those Roskilde rituals everyone talks about.
And soon you’ll be part of the crew that helps create moments like these across the festival — the kind of energy that makes people remember Gringobar long after the music stops.
It feels a bit wild the first time… and suddenly you’re wearing the hat and showing others how it’s done. That’s the magic.
